My Baby's growing up!

I know I said I was done blogging until next year, but something came up... My baby (Ashtyn) ate cereal last night for the first time!! After about 2 bites he had the hang of it, and he loved it! I wasnt surprised since he loves to eat. He doesnt care if I give him a bottle, he'll take it, no matter what kind of formula it is even though he isnt on formula 99% of the time! Anyway, here he is chowing down, he couldnt stop smiling...

Merry Christmas!

Well, the Christmas gatherings have begun. On Sunday, we set out to the big town of Hague for our first gathering of the season at Nana & Papa Neufelds house (Ryans Grandparents). It started with an amazing meal of turkey, ham and all the fixings. After not being able to move for a while from the over indulgence of food, we on the Christmas presents. Of course we were all spoiled, especially Jadyn & Ashtyn. They both came home with some new clothes and new toys. Jadyn got a 12 pack of monster trucks and they have hardly left is hands since Sunday. We then played some games and ate some more. It's exciting that Christmas has arrived, and I'm looking forward to the rest of the Christmas season. Nana and Papa are leaving to Mexico on Wednesday for a couple months and we are going to miss them lots! Have a great time in Mexico, we love you lots Nana & Papa! Here's a message from Jadyn...bmc cccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccjadyn.

Last night we had our caregroup Christmas party. We had chocolate and caramel fondue. It was sooo good! I think the christmas weight gain has begun!

We will be out to Borden, then Hague, then Borden, then Saskatoon, then Calgary until January 3rd, so it will be a crazy Christmas, but lots of fun seeing everyone.

I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Talk to you next year!

Getting ready for Christmas...

Well, I guess it's time for another post. Life has been a little crazy lately. Last weekend (a week ago) us and my Sister and her husband went out to my parents house to help my Mom decorate for Christmas. This is a tradition that we do every year. My entire family usually goes out there, but this year only my sister and I could make it. We didnt get too far since my parents have a fairly large house, and it gets pretty decked out at Christmas, but we did manage to get the tree decorated. Here is Jadyn putting on his little snow men. He is quite excited about Christmas this year. The only thing on his list are cars. Cars, cars, and more cars. It is all he cares about in life right now. Everything is a car, and everything is racing. We cant drive anywhere without racing and him yelling in the back seat "beat that van Mommy!" When it snows, the snow is racing, everything we do is a race, including when he flushed his pee down the toilet and told me it was racing!?! Weird kid, must take after his father. To the right is my little elf. I had to post this picture of Ashtyn cause I think it is hilarious! He kinda looks like a punk elf! Me and the boys ended up staying at my parents until Tuesday since Ryan had to go to Grand Prairie for work for a few days, and I'm kind of a chicken to stay home alone. It was good though since Ashtyn decided to have his 4 month growth spurt and ate every 2 hours day and night for about 5 days. He actually ate so much that I lost 5 pounds in those 5 days, even while eating my Moms cooking! oh well, I'm not complaining!
To the left Jadyn is taking Ashtyn for a ride. Always a fun time a Grandpa and Grandma's house! Well, this is getting to be a really long post, so I'm just gonna add some pictures for the rest.

Ashtyn after a long day of decorating. That's tiring stuff!

Jadyn at his Sunday School Christmas program. He didnt do anything but sit there thru all 3 songs. He was very cute though.

Today we did some Christmas baking. These are cornflake wreaths.

Everyone's doing it...

So I decided since I spend a good part of my life reading other people's blogs, that maybe it's time I started my own. I'm not too good at this "journaling" thing, but we'll see how it goes. It's so good to see what's going on in everyone's lives that I dont see very often, so hopefully I will get the hang of this and maybe find some old friends.
Well, maybe I should tell you a little about myself. I am a 25 year old wife and mother of 2 very cute little boys. Jadyn is 2 and Ashtyn is 3 1/2 months. 2 kids is definatly more work than 1, but life has been going pretty good so far. Ashtyn has been a good baby, up until the last 4 days when he decided that he would go back to eating every 2 hours day and night, so that has been a little exhausting, but hopefully it's just a growth spirt, and he'll be back to normal soon. Jadyn is a sweet heart and full of energy. He loves anything to do with cars and sports, and even his little brother. My wonderful husband Ryan is a detailer in the product design department at his office, and also a house designer on the side, which keeps his very busy. In the midst of all the work, he manages to be a great husband and father!
Well, my boys are needing me again, so that is all for now. Hopefully I will be back again!
